Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy
Informed Consent Model
We follow an informed consent model for adults age 18 and over. You do not need a therapist letter or formal diagnosis to begin hormone therapy. Your provider will conduct a thorough medical evaluation, explain expected changes and timelines, and ensure you feel confident in your decision before starting.
Feminizing Therapy
Feminizing hormone therapy typically includes estrogen and an anti-androgen. Expected changes include breast development, softer skin, reduced body hair, and fat redistribution. Dosing is individualized and monitored with regular lab work to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Masculinizing Therapy
Masculinizing hormone therapy uses testosterone administered via injection or topical gel. Expected changes include voice deepening, facial and body hair growth, fat redistribution, and cessation of menstrual periods. Your provider monitors your progress and adjusts dosing based on your response.
Telehealth Gender-Affirming Care Across North Carolina
Access to affirming care should not depend on where you live. Haven Health provides telehealth gender-affirming care to patients across all of North Carolina — from Charlotte and Raleigh to Asheville and Wilmington. Initial consultations, hormone management, lab reviews, and follow-up visits are all available via secure video. Prescriptions are sent to your local pharmacy.
