Clinical Background & Experience
Heather brings nearly two decades of experience caring for people across many settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and high-acuity environments. Her work spans the full reproductive lifespan, with a commitment to thoughtful gynecologic care, careful support during higher-risk moments, and helping patients navigate complex health needs with clarity and confidence.
Her gynecologic practice includes contraception counseling, sexual health care, evaluation of bleeding changes, PCOS support, perimenopause and menopause care, and gender-affirming services. Heather approaches each visit with an emphasis on listening, education, and shared decision-making, tailoring care plans to reflect each person’s goals, values, and lived experience.
Throughout her career, Heather has also supported patients through medically complex and higher-risk pregnancies. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, she has helped patients understand lab results, and imaging findings, while keeping the focus on whole-person health during pregnancy and well into the postpartum period.
Earlier in her practice, Heather worked in both freestanding and hospital-based settings and provided emergency care for pregnant and postpartum patients. These experiences continue to shape her approach today, grounding her care in early recognition of concerns, thoughtful follow-up, and a steady presence during times of uncertainty.
In addition to clinical care, Heather has held leadership and teaching roles, contributing to clinician education, care protocols, and quality initiatives aimed at improving patient experiences and outcomes. Across all settings, her work is guided by the midwifery model of care, grounded in partnership, evidence-informed practice, and care that meets people where they are.
